Spectacularly beautiful landscape includes vast mountain chains, steaming volcanoes,
sweeping coastlines, deeply indented fiords and lush rainforests make New Zealand a
paradise for nature lovers.
The climate ranges from moderate in the south to subtropical in the north.
In summer, the average maximum temperature ranges between 20-30ºC and in winter between 10-15ºC.
ABOUT NEW ZEALAND
New Zealand is a fascinating nation situated in the South Pacific ocean. Comparable in size to Great Britain or Italy, New Zealand has a population of only 4 million - making it one of the world's least crowded countries.
New Zealand society is diverse and multicultural. Most of the population is 'European' ( = 'Pakeha').
New Zealand's indigenous Maori make up around 14 percent of the population.
